Over 20 years of senior experience in Commercial Banking, Microfinance and Fintech industries. Sultan began his career at the biggest private financial institution in Central Asia and CIS countries, where he was subsequently appointed as a CEO of BTA Bank in Belarus in 2005 and his 10 years of management had led the bank to become the fastest growing in the region and awarded as the "Best Bank for Entrepreneurs" twice. For 4 years since 2015, Sultan has been leading the successful greenfield Microfinance business in Myanmar as a CEO of Hayman Microfinance, where he currently chairs the Board. He is also CEO at Hayman Capital Singapore and holds seats on multiple boards of the banks and fintech start-ups. He has 30 years of senior experience in the EU, CIS incl. Uzbekistan. Worked for ABN AMRO group as General Manager and Chairman of the Management Board at ABNAMRO Bank, Uzbekistan; Manager of Corporate Finance at ABN AMRO Bank, Russia as well as Vice President of Corporate Finance, Central and Eastern Europe at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (The Netherlands). Currently, Hugo is Board Director of Advans Microfinance Bank, Pakistan and Arnur Credit, Kazakhstan and Senior Advisor to Ipak Yuli Bank, Uzbekistan. He is also Honorary Consul of The Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium in Uzbekistan. |

He led major due diligence processes, negotiations and sealing deals for many institutions. Prior to joining Hayman Microfinance in January 2017, he worked for Microloan Foundation Ltd in Malawi as the Chief Financial Officer, worked as the Head of Finance & Treasury for Express Savings and Loans Ltd in Ghana and Opportunity International Savings and Loans Ltd in Ghana as the Management Accountant. He holds Executive MBA from GIMPA, Ghana, an MSc (Microfinance) from UCN, and he is a chartered member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). |

Over 8-year operational management experience in Microfinance industry, passion in Microfinancing started with previous career as a Branch Manager at ACLEDA MFI, joined Hayman Microfinance in 2015 as the Head of Operations. Since then, she became an instrumental in the management of branches network expansion in order to develop branches’ personnel. In 2019, was appointed as a Chief Operating Officer of Hayman Microfinance where oversees the branches, credit and business development departments to enhance the operations as well as the institutional developments of Hayman Microfinance, was graduated with B.C.Sc from University of Computer Studies, Yangon in 2007 and completed the “MBA” in Singapore (SIM Professional Development) – 2018, and Microfinance Training in Cambodia. Hayman Capital Co. Ltd was established in 2014 in Myanmar and successfully started its microfinance operations in July 2015. As of today we are represented by an effective network in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwaddy and Mandalay regions. Our branches cover a number of townships, wards and villages through well-organized offices in Insein, Thingangyun, Hlegu, Bago, Nyaunglaypin, Pyay, Pathein, Hinthada, Kyonpyaw, Mandalay, Kyaukse and Meikhtila.
We are operating under permanent license no. 0232/2016 issued by Microfinance Supervisory Committee.
